literature analysis questions #1 snow crash by neal stephenson

1. Briefly summarize the plot of the novel.
2. Succinctly describe the theme of the novel.  Avoid cliches.

Based on the author's tone, describe how you imagine the author's morning routine.  Does s/he get up early or sleep late?  Coffee, tea, or no caffeine?  Yoga/meditation/exercise?  Groggily stumble to the toilet and wish s/he wasn't so hungover?  Breakfast?  If so, what kind of food?  No, I am not kidding.  There is no shortcut for this, only your own imaginative thinking based on how you read his/her work and interpret his/her tone.  Include no fewer than three (3) excerpts from the text that illustrate your points.
4. Describe five (5) literary techniques you observed that strengthened your understanding of the theme and/or your sense of the tone.  These techniques may include characterization, figurative language, or anything else you've ever studied.  If you can't come up with five, do your best to remember and then look up "literary techniques" online and see if something rings a bell.  Include three (3) excerpts for each technique that will help your reader understand the technique and how it helped you gain insight.

 1.Snow crash revolves the main character Hiro who is a pizza deliverer. for a mob in LA and has mad hacking skills. he later meets a female called Y.T.  and both pair up to find information in the virtual reality (metaverse)and real world. They figure a  new drug has appeared called snow crashed in which one of Hiro's friends end up taking making him catatonic. This would eventually lead into his ex-girlfriend getting involved.  Also the drug makes every human taking it into mindless slaves.

2.The theme is more mysterious, action and  futuristic

3. The author must have such a good imaginative mind because the first chapter is super confusing with a future that's gets you caught up with pizza and the mafia and other crazy **** (stuff).

4. allusion , Conflict , Metaphor  and  simile personification
Allusion -Ankhazia had been part of the soviet union.
Conflict-Hiro has a goal to save the human's from a virus in the meta verse.
Metaphor-page 34 Snow crash "this car can go so fucking fast that if a cop took a bite of a doughnut as the deliverator was entering heritage boulevard, he probably woulnd't be able to swallow it until about the time the deliverator was shrieking out onto Oahu"
Simile-"The world is full of power and energy and a person can go far by just skimming off a tiny bit of it" chapter
